Dunlop

Dunlop was founded in 1888 by John Boyd Dunlop. He revolutionized the bicycle and automotive industries through his patented invention of pneumatic tires. It was not until twenty years later that Dunlop entered the sports market through its launch of golf balls and in 1923 they produced their first tennis ball. The ball is of the highest quality and became popular as the production process was innovative through chemical inflation and vulcanization of the rubber. In 2019, a more modern version of this ball became the official tennis ball for the Australian Open and the ATP Tour.

In 1932, Dunlop launched what became the world's most famous tennis racket for fifty years, namely; Dunlop Maxply. One of the legends who played with the racket is John McEnroe who also won with it against Björn Borg in the Wimbledon final in 1981. In the years that followed,the brand also became a major player in many other racket sports such as squash and padel. They were one of the first to use diamond and hybrid forms on their padel rackets and they are played by world stars such as Juan Mieres (Galactica Pro) and Ramiro Moyano (Aero-star Pro).
